Focusing on lifestyle and customer experience, we want an outdoor game that interacts with and entertains our visitors.
Chess is the number one interactive game that comes with lots of side benefits — it enhances strategizing, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills for children and adults. Every game of chess is different, never boring, never repetitive with different moves leading to different results.
In these past weeks, we have seen many warm moments — friends playing competitively against each other; families supporting the children against the parents; as well as a thinker playing by and against himself. Where the chess pieces are, there are always conversation and laughter.
The 25″ giant chess pieces are shielded from the Houston heat, yet get to enjoy natural breeze and sunlight. The giant 16×16 ft chess board lays underneath the newly built skylight. In the day time, visitors can play under natural light. In the night time, spot lights brighten up every move.
We invite you to “make a move” at D-Square, whether it be play a game of chess, dine, or shop. The most important is — Enjoy and Explore!
