HPD’s Asiatown Storefront is now offering a “Little Free Library”. In a “take a book, share a book” spirit, community can read a collection of books for free; as well as can help pass good books in the community.

The collection at HPD Asiatown Storefront focuses on children books and literature in Chinese. This program indicates HPD’s efforts to continuously increase community interaction and build deeper collaboration.

Little Free Library a non-profit that “builds community, inspires readers, and expands book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led little libraries”. They are a non-profit that has received many accolades as well as Guidestar’s Platinum Seal of Transparency.

HPD Asiatown Storefront’s hours are every Mon, Wed, Fri 8am to 12pm. Address is 9160 Bellaire Blvd, Suite F, Houston, TX 77036.

BOOK DONATIONS APPRECIATED

As our goal is to inspire readers and to deepen the community relationship, the more books the merrier. D-2 Shopping Center has made a purchase on Chinese children books to kick-start the first collection.

We appreciate and are grateful of community members who can contribute children’s literatures in good conditions.
