Houston’s community gathered together on Fri Sept 18, 2020 to celebrate the re-opening of Houston Police Department Storefront at 9160 Bellaire Blvd.  Attendants included lawmakers, business leaders, law enforcement heads and community members.  Many speeches were given, all focus on recognizing and thanking those behind-the-scene heroes who keep our community safe.  See who attended in the video above.

HPD Storefront was closed earlier this year, along with rest of Houston’s HPD storefronts, amidst resources constraint.   Within days of closing, community took action, sending feedback, petitions, requesting its re-opening.  This is an example of our governmental departments heeding and tending to communities’ needs.

We are thankful to be living in Houston.   After all, the greatness of a community is measured by the compassionate actions of its members.
